Game Of Skate Tray Polk v2.0

Tray Polk has been holding the Game Of S.K.A.T.E here in San Carlos AZ . In the past year he started a one-man campaign to get one of those street lights with a dull orange glow to turn on at night so kids could skate in the evening. It took the Tribal council about a year, but Tray never gave up. These are just a few photos of the day. Everyone pitched in to help. He doesn’t do it for the fame, he does it for the fun. (That’s they way he was taught :).

He doesn’t like to brag or be bragged about but I’m proud of him and all these kids who skate, cook, help each other, support and keep on. It is hard living on the Rez. The things other communities take for granted, we have to wait years for. So be thankful for what you got and support Apache “S”. “It’s never too late to do the right thing “.
